In English the children read ‘The Promise’ where they used figurative language to write poems, used the contexts to write a newspaper report and then wrote their own adapted version of a narrative.

What an exciting and busy month we have had!
In English we have been looking at information books and learning about the importance of contents pages, glossary pages and index pages. We chose to create our own information books about animals. We used the internet and non-fiction books to help us research and find fascinating facts.

We have had another brilliant day in the Forest School as part of our feeling good week.
Instructors from the Outward Bound Trust travelled all the way from North Wales to run our sessions!
Children learned to make their own fires and how to stay safe whilst preparing them, inlcuding how to sit in a position that is easy to get up from, in case of any danger.
