In Maths we have looked at place value of numbers and explored mental strategies and formal written methods for addition and subtraction.
In English the children looked at the story ‘And Tango makes three' where they sequenced events in the story. We have had a busy start back to school with lots of activities and visitors. We have loved being able to have playtimes, lunch and collective worships together as a whole school. none of our favourite activities was having a visit from athlete Montell Douglas. Ash class have been practising applying their phonics knowledge into their writing independently. Reception children have been writing their own sentences every day and have made great progress!
We welcomed our new children for a stay and play session so we could get to know them better. They are all excited to start properly at Tonwell in September.
